Jorge is a highly analytical, organized, and results-driven professional with extensive experience in program and project management, complemented by a strong military and government operations background. Expert at identifying initiatives to streamline processes, minimize inefficient procedures, and provide mentoring and advice to teams and organizations. Known for problem-solving and critical thinking skills and proven ability to keenly analyze issues, formulate strategic action plans, and resolve complex situations. Articulate communicator; multilingual in English, Spanish, and Farsi/Dari.
Jorge honed his skills and expertise over a 25-year career in the U.S. Army, serving at many key operational and training leadership levels. He successfully served in numerous senior management positions within the continental United States and abroad. His extensive array of assignments, to include Commanding Officer, Chief Instructor, Chief Operations Officer, and Foreign Military/Government Advisor, along with his extensive work within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, provides a well-rounded approach to complex problems with innovative solutions.
Jorge holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio; a Master’s Degree in Military Operational Art and Science from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, KS; he is a graduate of the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, Fort Benning, GA. Additionally, he has conducted extensive training and research, which in conjunction with his operational experience, provided the basis for his published work in counterinsurgency, “The Illusion of Governance” (U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, 2013). Jorge also holds a Doctorate of Strategic Leadership from Liberty University in Virginia.
Steven is an innovative, professional leader that provides The 0435 Group with his expertise in developing, implementing, and overseeing the group’s portfolio of projects and program requirements. Possessing over 25 years of experience executing, managing, and supervising security and stability operations for private and federal agencies worldwide, he provides well-thought-out and new assessments for our clients to consider.
A military veteran and former law enforcement officer (Washington Metropolitan Region), Steven’s skills, instructional capabilities, and leadership in the areas of military/law enforcement special operations, investigations, counterterrorism, overall security operations, and training development make him one of the key pillars of the group’s corps of experts. His broad experience and knowledge in the international arena while holding key roles with the Inter-American Development Bank, the U.S. State Department, the Department of Defense, and the Organization of American States provide the 0435 Group and our clients’ first-hand expertise in the Middle East, Africa, Central, and South America, as well as the Caribbean. His versatility is reflected by his operational experience as a consultant to renowned organizations such as Control Risk Group (Mexico City), SOC-USA (Iraq), and VDI Global. Steven’s abilities are complemented well by a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice, and Professional Certificate in Project Management from Georgetown University, and extensive state certifications as a Law Enforcement Officer and Instructor in the State of Virginia. Steven has native language proficiency in English and Spanish, with elementary proficiency in Portuguese.
